I am very proud to have played a part in the completion of this wonderful film.
Please support this project if you have the means.
I have had the pleasure of seeing this film and I will tell you I honestly believe that it is the best documentary I’ve seen in years. I am in no affiliated with the academy of motion picture arts and sciences but my feelings about this movie are strong enough to where I believe that if handled correctly it could be a oscar contender for best documentary. If I am any where close to right about this you will want to have been a part of this thing when it needed you.
GIVE!
After a less than enjoyable experience with the distributor of their last film, my friends Bill and Turner Ross are taking matters into their own hands with their new film Tchoupitoulas (pronounced “chop-ih-TOOL-us”), which is premiering at SXSW next weekend.
Their biggest distribution hurdle is the stifling cost of music licensing. So they’ve setup a kisckstarter, and unlike most kickstarters, this is actually a useful contribution to a real project that already really exists and just needs help reaching all of our real eyes. The film is probably going to be a big deal, so here’s your chance to get your name in the credits (which Bill did not mention to me, since I make the credits. He and I will discuss this matter later.) But if you donate only $32, you essentially pre-bought a copy of the film. Seems like an easy enough decision.
At the very least, it’s worth reading their list of perks on kickstarter.
